Born in Torquay, England in 1890, Agatha Christie became, and remains, the best-selling novelist of all time.
She is best known for her 66 detective novels and 14 short story collections, as well as the world’s longest-running play – The Mousetrap. Her books have sold over a billion copies in the English language and a billion in translation.
"Everyone is a potential murderer- in everyone there arises, from time to time, the wish to kill- though NOT the will to kill..."
Agatha Christie and Burgh Island Hotel
She was a regular at the famous Burgh Island Hotel where she wrote 'Evil Under the Sun' and the ever popular 'And then there were none'. CLUEDUNNIT are delighted to be the preferred supplier of Murder Mysteries on Burgh Island and are currently working with the hotel owners to create some bespoke murder plots worthy of Agatha Christie herself.
Burgh Island Hotel is an iconic Devon landmark, a shining white ocean liner, moored on its own tidal island, surrounded by golden beaches and silver seas. Built in 1929, extended in 1932 and, since 2006, completely restored to its '30s glamour, the Burgh Island Hotel is a retreat like none other.
The beauty and intrigue of an island visit has always drawn guests who are looking for something different. It is no surprise that Agatha Christie, Noel Coward and other pre-War luminaries made Burgh Island their second home.
We are so proud to be the official Murder Mystery company performing our 'whodunnit' evenings throughout the year at this very venue as well as numerous others around the United Kingdom. We are delighted to be bringing our original 'Agatha Christie' style murder mystery dinner theatre to Perth WA. Opening shortly at Rigby's venue in St Georges Terrace Perth.
We worship the skills of Dame Agatha Christie. Her name is synonymous with high quality murder mystery books and plays...and CLUEDUNNIT is synonymous with the very best in murder mystery evenings!
